Pets and their owners share an unbreakable bond that goes beyond the physical presence of the latter. They are missed not only by human family members but also by their furry friends. The love and connection between them remain even after the owner’s passing, making their relationship unique and special.
In this piece, we’d like to recount the touching tale of Fulmine and his buddy, Leonardo.
They spent seven wonderful years living in the peaceful Italian countryside, until Leonardo had an unfortunate accident that required him to be hospitalized. This left his son Fulmine without proper care, causing him to miss his father dearly. As verified by Sara Sechi, Leonardo’s daughter, Fulmine would run to the gate every time a car approached in hopes of seeing his father return home.
Last month, a man who was going through a tough time sadly passed away without being able to say goodbye to his faithful canine companion. The little dog went missing for two days, leaving everyone confused about where he had gone. Thankfully, Sara was able to locate Fulmine. After the man’s funeral, Sara and her son decided to visit the village cemetery to add more flowers to the man’s grave. To their surprise, they found Fulmine lying there, paying tribute to his loving owner.
Fulmine eventually gathered enough courage to get up after some time. He headed towards the doghouse that Leonardo had prepared for him, but he was still feeling low and had lost his desire to eat.
Despite his first visit, Fulmine continued to make regular trips to the cemetery to see his late friend. Neighbors reported seeing him walking towards the graveyard every day, a journey of two kilometers from his home. Despite having no guidance on how to get there, he was able to find his way back to Leonardo’s resting place each time.
Sara has opened her doors to Fulmine, providing him with the best care possible. Although Leonardo will be dearly missed, his memory will continue to live on in their hearts. Make sure to share this heartwarming story with the people you love!
