Talitha shared that she became a proud owner of two pets, Herbee and Audree. Herbee was adopted from a girl who had to give him away because of severe allergies. Later, Talitha adopted Audree who was initially reserved for breeding but the lady changed her mind just two days before Talitha’s call.

For years, the idea of owning a cat has been a long-standing desire of mine. The Bengals breed sparked my interest since they have a reputation for being compatible with other animals. I desired a feline friend that would accompany me on thrilling adventures and travel experiences. Consequently, my options for choosing a particular breed were limited. One night, I had a dream where I was the owner of an adventurous Bengal cat, and we instantly bonded. This dream fueled my passion to make it a reality.

Upon waking up from a dream, I initially felt disappointed that it wasn’t a reality. However, I realized that the dream could potentially be turned into a real-life experience and decided to do some research. That’s when I stumbled upon Audree, a beautiful cat with three brothers who immediately caught my attention. Upon contacting the owner and hearing Audree’s story, I felt like it was meant to be. Audree reminded me of myself as a child, always a bit shy but watching her brothers play.

Before making a final decision, I brought Herbee, my hedgehog, to meet Audree for a trial run. Thankfully, they hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. Audree follows Herbee around everywhere and sometimes even cuddles and plays with him. Despite Audree’s initial caution, Herbee didn’t put up his quills and wasn’t afraid of the cat. Now, almost a year later, they continue to be the best of friends.

During their evening meals, Audree and Herbee often share a bowl of food. Despite eating the same thing (except for Herbee’s insects), Audree seems to prefer Herbee’s food over her own. The two even sleep in the same cage sometimes, with Audree occasionally just watching Herbee. Though there was one incident where Herbee bit Audree, she wasn’t harmed and quickly left, and it never happened again.

With the quarantine in effect, Talitha has found it more challenging to capture outdoor photographs. She mentioned that they’re currently staying on a family farm in the middle of nowhere, so the scenery isn’t quite as picturesque as it would be elsewhere. Despite these limitations, she remains positive, saying that the experience has made her appreciate adventure with her beloved pets even more.

The owner of Herbee and Audree mentioned that the recent quarantine has brought them closer to their original lifestyle, giving them ample time to bond with their family. The smaller things in life have also been given more importance, such as a ladybug sitting on Audree’s head or Herbee taking in the scent of a tiny flower.

The new trend is not about exploring new places, but finding happiness in one’s current location. This is a valuable lesson to learn and it’s wonderful to spread positivity through it. Our online community has expressed gratitude for our photos, especially during these times. It’s gratifying to know that a small act of sharing can bring joy to others and to ourselves.

In 2015, Talitha began sharing photos of her pet hedgehog Pokee on social media. Pokee was only 8 weeks old at the time, inspiring Talitha to name all her accounts after this original hedgehoggo.
