After spending years roaming the neighborhood streets, a feline decided to try out the indoor lifestyle as the last of his kind.

A black and white feline with long hair had been seen roaming the streets of Montreal before joining a group of community cats that relied on the kindness of a neighbor to survive. However, as the number of stray cats in the area continued to increase, local animal rescuers intervened to help. Their mission was to sterilize and find foster homes for all the cats, with the aid of rescue organizations.
Gradually, all of the cats in the region were saved except for one – a disheveled tomcat covered in mats and dirt.

A colony of cats in a neighborhood welcomed a new member who managed to survive through two winters. The adorable feline was discovered by a group of animal rescuers from Montreal. A concerned neighbor shared that the cat frequented their home for food and would patiently wait by their door every morning. However, after the last winter, the cat’s appearance started to decline, prompting his rescue.

The poor cat’s fur was all tangled up and he desperately needed help. Despite the efforts of the rescue team, he managed to elude their traps multiple times and remained the only stray in the area. Eventually, hunger got the better of him and he bravely walked into a trap that had been set up with tasty treats by a kind neighbor. Finally, he was taken off the streets and given the care he required.

Arthus, the cat who had survived the rough and tumble of life on the streets, was finally rescued and given a chance to live a comfortable life. However, he was initially apprehensive and avoided human contact, as he had become accustomed to fending for himself. His fur was matted and had an unpleasant odor due to prolonged exposure to unfavorable conditions. With proper treatment from a veterinarian, his many health issues were addressed and his tangled fur was removed, providing relief to his skin. The newfound freedom from discomfort and pain helped Arthus regain his vitality and start living happily.

The rescuers from Montreal carefully removed all the tangled and knotted fur from the poor dog’s coat. Eventually, they discovered that he was thin and bony underneath the matted hair. Scars and injuries covered his body, evidence of his rough life on the streets. Fortunately, the pup was provided with a peaceful space where he could unwind and calm down. Now, he feels comfortable enough to explore his surroundings and approach his foster mom for affection. He even enjoys sitting on her lap, purring contentedly and rubbing his face against hers. His foster mom is delighted to see him gradually opening up and coming out of his shell.

Ever since he was saved by the team at Rescue Montreal, he has shown a significant improvement. He has been staying with his foster family for a couple of weeks now, and he seems to be in much better shape. His coat is growing back, and he looks livelier and more content. The charming little fella is incredibly loving and friendly. Arthus enjoys snuggling up with his human companion, pressing his face against theirs as if he wants to be as close as possible.

He’s a social animal who doesn’t like doors that keep him away from his human friends. This little guy is living his best life and is starting to act like a playful kitten again.
