Approximately a month back, an animal shelter put out a call for help to rescue a tiny one-week-old kitten weighing just a quarter-pound. The poor feline had an injured limb that had caused a swelling in the arm due to a puncture wound. The shelter staff contacted nearby rescues in the hope of finding someone who could offer him the necessary care to recover.
Thankfully, Nadija, who fosters cats for AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue, came forward and took the little furball named Scout under her wing. She hoped to give him a chance at saving his leg.
Despite all the hurdles he had faced, Scout remained in high spirits. He continued to waddle around on all fours and refused to let anything slow him down.

When Scout was saved, he had a hurt leg and it was confirmed by the veterinarian that he might have gotten a bite wound which later got infected. The vet swiftly treated him and began administering antibiotics to him. Despite being small in size, Scout had a brave heart like a tiger and didn’t let the injury bring him down.

The healing process of his leg had begun, and he was getting better. Scout’s appetite had increased, and he was gaining strength as well as weight. According to Nadija, after his meals, Scout would roll around and purr with contentment. He became curious about his surroundings and started exploring his environment. As his name suggests, Scout loved to scout around his nest and even tried to climb Mount Blankets.
