It’s really unfortunate that there are individuals who lack empathy for innocent animals. It’s not uncommon to come across news about cats and dogs getting abandoned on the streets, and it’s heart-wrenching every time. Recently, five kittens were discovered in Oxfordshire, left alone in a cardboard box. Fortunately, they were rescued and have now found caring families to call their own.
Just a few days before the New Year, a box of adorable kittens was discovered and they were immediately taken to the Blue Cross shelter for medical attention. These fluffy little creatures were struggling with ringworm, but thanks to the dedicated staff, they received the necessary treatment and were nursed back to health over a period of 6 months. Fortunately, the outcome was positive and all of them made a full recovery. As soon as they were deemed healthy, the kittens were made available for adoption to loving families.
The path to their current state was not without difficulty. Due to ringworm infections requiring particular treatment, they could not socialize with other felines or be placed in a foster home. The kitties had lost hair and had cracked skin, which is typical of this ailment. It was a pitiful sight, but they persisted and persevered together.
Littlefoot and Spike, two of the adorable kittens, were fortunate enough to be adopted together. However, the other three feline cuties went on to find loving homes separately. Although it would have been lovely to see them all reunited, we are thrilled that they are thriving in their new environments. There’s no denying that things could have taken a much different turn for these sweet kittens, but we’re grateful that everything has worked out for the best.
