Following the passing of her owner, Wishbone was left to fend for herself, struggling to survive for several weeks. Purrfect Cat Rescue, located in Crystal Lake, IL, stepped in and took her under their care in May of this year. Wishbone had been left alone in her owner’s home, resulting in dehydration and lack of nourishment and love. The rescue arrived just in time to save her. Purrfect Cat Rescue shared on Facebook, “One of our newest loves is the beautiful Wishbone who is so sweet and constantly purring.”
Aside from being severely underweight, Wishbone was also experiencing an untreated medical condition. Her recent past has been quite challenging as she was discovered living with her deceased owner for several weeks. Fortunately, we were able to save her just in time. Wishbone is dealing with hyperthyroidism and malnourishment, as well as a lack of attention.
After the successful rescue of Wishbone, she was given not just food but also the warmth and love she deserved. Purrfect cat rescue shared that they made sure to let her know that she was deeply loved and would never have to suffer from loneliness or hunger again.
Similar to most people, wishbone has a preferred type of cuisine. However, the challenge arises when her preferred food is not readily accessible, causing her to become picky and dismissive towards alternative options. Regrettably, her preferred dish, known as fancy feast savory centers, is said to be incredibly rare to find.
Due to this circumstance, the rescue went to social media in order to locate suppliers of their feline’s beloved dish. To their astonishment, various packages of the meal were sent from different parts of the country.
