While walking along the road, Monty Fairley came across an object lying on the side of the road. As he approached it, he realized that it was a young kitten in need of help! It appeared that the kitten had either been thrown out of a vehicle or left behind and hit by a passing car, just like the previous kitten. One of her legs had been injured, making it easy for Monty to pick her up.
He got in touch with his friend, Chasity Cecil, who is a passionate animal rescuer. While driving along the same road where he found Hope, Chasity and her husband also witnessed a kitten being thrown from a car. After rescuing Hope, she wasted no time in helping the newly-found kitten to start its journey towards recovery. Unfortunately, the kitten was heavily infested with fleas, which caused it to become anemic, and it was severely malnourished, with a body that was nothing but skin and bones.
Upon examining her injured leg, it appeared to be severely fractured and completely devoid of any sensation as the kitten didn’t exhibit any response to any kind of stimulation. When they touched her paw, she didn’t seem to feel anything.
As Chasity observed the second kitten, she noticed that it too was lying on one leg, oblivious to any harm it might be causing. The sight filled her with worry, as she didn’t want another amputation to be necessary, just like it was for Hope.
Chasity decided to give the young girl the name Faith. Following a refreshing and necessary bath, Chasity carefully removed an excessive amount of fleas from the delicate child’s hair with a comb.
Throughout the entire experience, Faith has exhibited extraordinary friendliness, suggesting that she was unlikely to be a feral or stray cat. It is particularly disheartening to contemplate someone discarding her like garbage. After taking a bath and purring contentedly, she looks gratefully at the individuals who saved her.
On Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., Faith paid a visit to the vet. In order to treat her leg, she was given de-wormer, flea treatment and pain relief medication. The vet took X-rays and the diagnosis was awaited to determine the best course of action for her recovery. As animal rescue can be costly and challenging, Chasity reached out to her followers for donations. She and her husband bear the financial responsibility of taking care of rescues themselves in the beginning.
